Abstract :
We measured the absorption spectra of the cuttlebone, which contains CaCO3 (~85%), in the terahertz band and compared them with those of natural CaCO3 (calcite). Based on these results, we state that absorption spectra can be used to identify various crystal states of the cuttlebone.
