Abstract :
The Cusp electronic gun for Ka band Gyro-TWT is simulated by the 3D PIC software, in which the electronic 3D velocity value is extracted to calculate the velocity ratio of the transverse velocity and longitudinal velocity. The Cusp gun is designed and optimized in 98kV voltage and 1A current, to obtain 1.1 velocity ratio and 2.4% velocity spread. The design is adopt for the three folded helical corrugated waveguide Gyro-TWT.
