Abstract :
Fast determination of frequency of the fundamental waveform of voltages and currents is essential for the control and protection of electrical power systems. In this paper the advanced methods of frequency estimation of distorted signals are presented. These methods, basing on Prony´s model, are useful for frequency estimation of distorted signals in real time mode. These signals appear in circuit consisted frequency converters. In order to obtain improvement of preciseness and quality some modifications of the algorithm were introduced.
