Abstract :
The paper investigates the appliance of an optimization routine to establish best offshore windfarm layout, in terms of chosen cost function. An introduction to windfarm layout problem is given. Wake effect, turbine spacing and infarm wind distribution are covered. Sample Matlab program results are provided and commented on.
