Abstract
In this report, the characteristics of a hybrid transducer-type ultrasonic motor are summarized as a function of the size. First, the diameter dependence of torque and no-load speed is discussed theoretically. Second, it is investigated experimentally by using trial made motors with diameters range from 5 mm to 80 mm. Based on the results, the keys to making a much smaller motor as well as a bigger sized one with a giant torque are mentioned
