Abstract :
To help modern manufacturing systems meet the immediate demands of control and function, dynamic control cell structure is proposed based on automata and RW theory. This control structure not only can meet these demands but also can achieve the fast dynamic reorganization. The control structure is used to construct a complicated system from the bottom-up by definite rules which ensure its controlled characteristics. This avoids the difficulties of characteristics analysis from the top-down and forms a set of ways to construct the man-made complicated system. The paper discusses a finite state machine model and supervisory proof of the dynamic control cell structure followed by the extending of the structure. Finally, the tile manufacturing process is used as a hybrid system prototype to realize successfully not only the high-level supervisor of the discrete events dynamic system, but also the real-time supervisor of the running states of the floor equipment by MATLAB software. The feasibility of the new theoretical approach is verified by the simulation results
