Abstract :
Dy3+ doped Ge-As-S glasses have been investigated for 2.96 mum fiber laser pumped at 1.7 mum. Ge10As25S65 and Ge9As23S68 were determined as core and clad compostion, respectively for fiber drawing. Ge10As25S65 fiber showed ~2 dB/m loss at 1.7 mum.
