Abstract :
In this paper data of the bottom-mounted ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) are studied. The dominating periodic processes are found to be with periods of 4.5-5.5 days (low-frequency oscillations), with periods of 27-28 hours and with near-inertial periods. As spectral calculations showed, the low-frequency oscillations, not found in the surface layer, increased with depth below the picnocline and again near the bottom. Vertical distribution of the amplitudes is similar to the bottom-trapped topographic waves, which may be induced by the variable wind.
