Abstract :
Considering both electrical and mechanical parameters of metro systems, a hybrid modeling method is proposed to develop a virtual metro system (VMS), which consists of traction power supply module, route module, resistance module and vehicle module. The characteristic parameters of the proposed modules are verified by real metro systems. Compared with conventional electric traction control strategies for metro vehicles, the proposed VMS can provide a virtual environment, which makes the simulation more close to real situations. Consequently, the electric traction control strategy verified by VMS can be easily applied to real metro vehicles. Applications of VMS confirm the effectiveness to the development of control strategy for metro vehicles.
