Abstract :
A model to analyze the dropped-call probability as a function of hysteresis level is presented. The factors affecting dropped-call probability are the statistics of the reception level, interference level and handoff feasibility. All these criteria are evaluated as functions of hysteresis level. An expression for dropped-call probability is obtained and it is averaged over the coverage area for different hysteresis values
