Abstract
The Didcot power station is situated near Oxford and operates four coal fired boiler/turbine units, with a generation capacity of 500 MW per unit. The authors describe the refurbishment of the control and instrumentation (C and I) system using computer based desk technology with touch screens. This improves flexible operation and also saves time
