  • Abstract
The effective management and operational support for power stations is becoming more critical, more costly, and more complex. The power industry has to satisfy increasing demands for power and increasing and justifiable demands for improving plant safety and reliability. This applies for all types of plants, including nuclear plants, and needs to satisfy the complete range of operational, refurbishment and support requirements. There are increasing demands to provide more cost effective services. The author discusses the use of expert systems in solving these management and operational problems in power stations
