Abstract :
The key point of realizing the optic-machine-electrical assembly of the collimator is to found the reasonable process technology of the fiber collimator packing. In this paper, the coupling loss of assembly deviation of fiber collimator is firstly analyzed, and a theory that pitch deviation between optical components in single fiber collimator packing would cause off-angle coupling between two fiber collimators is formulated. Then, the analytic expression of the relationship between pitch deviation of components and coupling loss of fiber collimator is deduced due to transmission equation of GRIN (gradient index lens). Finally, the economical tolerance of fiber collimator assembly, which provides the theoretical foundation to establish MOEMS mathematic model of packing fiber collimator and realize industrialized production, is confirmed
