Abstract
The authors present an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) based on an exhaustive study made to find the best solution to build a compact single static monophase UPS. The prototype had the following specifications: mean time between failures greater than 100000 hours, power range between 0.5 and 10 kVA and high static and dynamic characteristics such as cut time transfer less than 3 ms. The solution proposed, integrates four circuits in a unique magnetic core: the input network, two parallel reversible inverters which charge and discharge the battery and the AC output, with a series inductor integrated in the magnetic core
