Abstract
The light spot image of linear CCD is a kind of the representative peak signal. During filtering, it is difficult to suppress noise and preserve the peak features as much as possible. The position, amplitude, area, edge steepness of the signal peak is inevitably affected. Based on the analysis of ordinary weighted moving average (WMA) filtering algorithm, a new weight concept of amplitude and phase bivariate distance is proposed, and a kind of improved adaptive moving average (MA) filtering method, weighting this bivariate distance, is also developed. This method takes into account not only the phase correlation, but also the amplitude correlation among the sampled pixels during WMA computation. Experiments and engineering applications show that the proposed method can obtain a good result in both removing noise and preserving signal features.
