Abstract :
Blind channel equalization is a candidate approach to increase the bandwidth efficiency of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication systems and attracts many researches. In this paper, a novel blind MIMO equalization method for the row diagonally dominant channel matrix is proposed. It is based on the elementary matrix transformation and uses only statistics of source signals to realize blind signal separation. By multiplying the received signal vector by a sequence of elementary matrices which are estimated in the blind manner, the MIMO channel equalization can be achieved in the receiver. The simulation results show that the proposed blind equalization method separates the source signals effectively and gets a BER performance close to that of the optimum zero-forcing equalizer.
