Abstract :
The relationships among the parameters of the third order filter are derived in this paper. As a result, a method for determining parameters of the filter is presented. The characteristics of the filter, such as the frequency with minimum impedance, etc. are discussed in detail, and the optimal parameters to avoid local resonance between the filter and the system are recommended. A simple comparison with the second order filter is also included in the paper
