Abstract :
Cooperative diversity has recently emerged as an effective form of providing gains in slow fading wireless environments. In this paper, we propose a novel partner choice protocol which first selects the best relay from cooperative region consisting of n available relays and then uses this best relay for cooperation between the source and the destination. We improve the agility of this protocol by guiding the search heuristically so that as few available relays as possible are expanded during the partner choice process. We use amplify-and-forward as relaying schemes to illustrate the validity of the cooperative communication in the mobile wireless networks.
