Abstract :
Customers are imposing increasingly arduous performance criteria on the electric machines which they order to meet all criteria simultaneously can often require highly optimised designs. In order to create these designs effectively, data from acceptance tests must be returned to the designers in a form which can be used to compare with the theoretical design. Furthermore, in order to carry out economic optimisation, manufacturing details must be made available to the designer
