Abstract :
In this paper, two possible ways of terahertz radiation detection are discussed. The direct detection is based on the ferroelectric properties of Pb1-xSnxTe:In (LTTI) and its photosensitivity in the submillimeter spectral range. Indirect detection is possible due to uniquely low noise equivalent power (NEP) of LTTI detectors in lambda < 20 mum spectral range.
