Abstract :
In this paper, we present a pencil texture generating method based on the pencil filter. The method can easily generate various types of pencil textures which the user required. Moreover, based on the local color-proliferation theory, we present a new method for colored pencil drawing rendering by recoloring the gray pencil drawings. The experiment shows that the method can change the input image into colored pencil drawing fast. The result maintains the pencil texture´s physical properties and the painting characteristics.
