Abstract
Presents the performance of a component-level transmitter design which operates up to 3 Gb/s. NRZ and incorporates a sub-micron silicon NMOS laser driver. The transmitter has been employed in a systems experiment at 2.4 Gb/s over 35.2 km of dispersion-shifted fiber with a sensitivity of -33.3 dBm at a BER of 3×10-11
