Abstract :
A class 0.2 electricity meter for d.c. applications is being designed at SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden. The aim is to verify that suggested requirements for HVDC electricity meters can be fulfilled within a reasonable design and production cost. The suggested design is built on a high-resolution ADC and hi-impedance low-offset input circuits. This paper contains an analysis of how to implement the requirements for HVDC metering in a meter design.
