Abstract :
In this paper, electromagnetic quantities (such as currents and voltages on irradiated transmission lines) are described in time domain, as they typically occur in resonant systems. Electric oscillating circuits and transmission lines are considered resonators. Many realistic systems which are excited by high-frequency pulses show transient responses with amplitudes that greatly exceed those of steady state. The results obtained by a simple TL model were checked in comparison with results obtained using the numerical code NEC and qualitative agreement was found. Obtained results, in particular, can become important for EMC standardization.
