Abstract :
The authors report on the results of Telesat´s Advanced Television (ATV) Applications Development Program. The issues concerning the construction of the HDTV mobile production facility and the transportable ATV uplink are discussed. As well, the results of the applications trials to date are presented. The implications of the technical and applications issues for the future of Canadian ATV businesses are analyzed
