Abstract :
This paper derives in detail the horizontal radiated electric fields from an electrically small radiator which should be well represented by the leading multipole moments, namely, the electric dipole and the magnetic moments, correcting Lee´s corresponding formula. A sequence of GTEM cell measurements is made to determine the equivalent dipole moments of the device under test (DUT). Based on the correlation between GTEM cell and OATS emission measurements, theoretical simulation for DUT emissions over an open area test site (OATS) have been made. Theoretical results and experimental data measured directly over OATS are compared with good agreement.
