Abstract
One of the issues faced by manufacturers of fluorescent luminaires is the vast number of models they have to contemplate in the light of an EMC compliance regime. By modelling the luminaire´s electrical circuit with lumped elements, this paper investigates the insertion loss performance of a number of fluorescent luminaires, and the effects of the power-factor correction capacitor on the insertion loss performance, to enable a quick evaluation of each luminaire model.
