Abstract :
Patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD) can be diagnosed thanks to the determination of reactive hyperemia parameters computed on laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) signals. However, the computation of the latter parameters is very often subjective due to the presence of marked oscillations on LDF recordings. Previous works have been carried out to improve their determination. These works use wavelets to de-noise LDF signals. A first method processes LDF blood flux signals to compute time to peak flow and peak flow value. A second method, carried out on the concentration of moving blood cell signals (CMBC), gives time to peak CMBC and peak CMBC. The goal of the present work is to compare the two studies and reactive hyperemia parameters given by each one. This analysis therefore provides the determination of the most accurate method to use in order to diagnose patients with PAOD non invasively and by processing signals representing phenomena occurring at the micro-scale
