Abstract :
A new method for expanding digital images is explored. It involves the identification of crack edges in a digital image, which are then merged into connected sequences called strokes. A heuristic method is applied to compute these strokes and to map their expansion onto a larger image. Finally, the modified strokes are used to control the interpolation of grey levels to fill in the gaps in the expanded image
