Abstract
Historically, electronic switching systems power supplies in the USA have been grounded using the “isolated ground” philosophy. In Europe, the “mesh earthing system” is most prevalent. This paper discusses and compares the isolated ground and mesh earthing system methods as used in the Lucent Technologies 5ESS(R) electronic switching system
