Abstract :
The paper presents issues related to benefits from the usage of water-cooled heat sinks in power electronic devices. It presents several important advantages of this solution. This approach helped to create a new generation of power supplies for plasma application with excellent functional properties: small size, small weight, long life. The paper also presents a unique solution used in arc management that is essential in plasma sputtering process. Construction of this DC power supplies is designed by HUETTINGER Electronic Sp. z o.o. These unique features of generators are desired and used by world leading companies in photovoltaic industry.
