Abstract
In this paper, we implemented the frequency-domain (FD) and time-domain (TD) techniques to measure amplitude and phase noises of an optical pulse train at 1.3 GHz from a stabilized actively mode-locked Er-doped fiber laser. Then, we compared the results obtained by these two techniques. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first confrontation of the FD and TD techniques for measurement of both amplitude and phase noises in an actively mode-locked fiber laser
