Abstract :
Ecosystem health evaluation is the bridge in which the knowledge human learned can be applied to management and decision-making, and it is also the basis of ecological protection, ecological recovering and ecosystem management. The offshore area is the area where there is a strong interaction between land and ocean, and it is affected by human activities greatly. The evaluation, prediction and research of offshore area ecosystem health can provide ocean ecological management with scientific basis. In this paper, the concept and connotation of health of ocean Ecosystem is analyzed systematically and several problems existing in the present ecological healthy evaluation are pointed out. The healthy status of marine ecosystem and its environmental challenge are also indicated. What’s more, the emphasis of the study of marine ocean ecosystem health in the future has been suggested.
