Abstract

The investigation on the ecology of Bohai Sea which was surveyed in 2006 (August, December)-2007 (April, October) is the largest survey on the sea in the last 30 years, following the first two large scale surveys in 1980s. In this paper, six important ecological regions (Liaodong Bay, Beidaihe coastal waters , Tianjin coastal waters , the Yellow River Estuary, Laizhou Bay and the central Bohai Sea) are selected to be regarded as study sites. The spatial distribution of Chlorophyll-a in the above region in Bohai Sea in the different seasons is reported simply.
