Abstract :
When making a financial construction of grid connected PV systems, in most cases the mentioned indirect benefits to the grid are not taken into account. In this paper, we consider loss reduction in a medium voltage distribution network. The size of referent PV system is about 500 kWp, which regarding the rated power can be put it into the group of the grid-support PV systems. All calculations we made using the hourly measured data of solar irradiance, ambient temperature and the feeder current. For generating the output of a PV system, we use the PVSYST V 1.0 software for PV systems simulation. All other calculations presented in this paper have been made by computer software especially designed for this purpose.
