Abstract :
A microstrip 180deg phase shifter is presented for ultra wideband applications. The phase shifter consists of microstrip-to-coplanar waveguide (CPW)-to-microstrip transition. We used via holes to transfer the current from the top to the bottom substrate layer and vice versa. The proposed phase shifter is operating in a wide bandwidth between 5.5 and 17.2 GHz, with low insertion loss and reflection coefficients, and it has applications with ultra wideband phased arrays and power combiners.
