Abstract :
This paper presents two possible topologies for boosting up the photovoltaic module voltage in micro-inverter applications. Two approaches are presented: one employing a high frequency transformer, and a transformerless one, which uses voltage multiplying cells. Features and drawbacks of both solutions are presented on the basis of experimental results.
