Abstract :
A Miniaturized bandpass filter by utilizing complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs) array loaded half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) is proposed. By etching several CSRRs on the bottom metal plane of the HMSIW, a bandpass are realized below the cutoff frequency of the HMSIW. The application of the HMSIW and CSRR combination technique for the design of miniaturized bandpass filter is then illuminated by equivalent circuit model. A demonstration of band-pass filter are designed, fabricated and measured. Very good agreement is shown between measurement and simulation.
