Abstract
The author presents an efficient but simple method of constructing dynamic equivalents. The power invariance principle has been followed in the case of equivalent machine representation and in the network reduction process. The damping coefficient is taken into account in coherent group identification. The method is tested by application to 10-m/c., 39-bus New England Test System
