Abstract :
Although provably stable and conservative subgridding methods have been developed for the Yee scheme [1], they are limited in practical use because they exhibit larger spurious reflection errors than pre-existing, nonconservative methods. Here, conservative subgridding methods will be derived for the Lobatto Cell (LC) [2], a high order FDTD method with appropriate media boundary conditions. High order convergence in reflection error will be demonstrated for the LC subgrid interface.
