  • Abstract
As situation assessment in the warfare involves abundant, uncertain and redundant information, this paper presents a method for situation assessment of multi-attribute decision making based on rough sets. First, it proposes a discernibility function and improves the knowledge reduction algorithm, thus improves the efficiency; Furthermore, a model for situation assessment of multi-attribute decision making based on rough sets is established to simplify the given informational system and form decision-making rules. Finally, a case of attacking the enemy in the war is studied through the models so that decision making rules are deduced; then proper attacking conditions are obtained.
