Abstract :
In this paper, a ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with U-shaped for UWB applications is proposed. The antenna has a modified U-shaped radiating patch, microstrip line feeding, and a ground plane with two round corners for improving the return loss performance in the required band. Measurement results show that the proposed UWB antenna has a ultra-wide band from 3 to 11GHz with VSWR level less than 2, relative stable radiation characteristics and constant gain performance are also achieved in simulation results.
