Abstract :
A post-inverse discrete Fourier transform (post-IDFT) multidimensional beamforming for space-time coded-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (STC-OFDM) systems is proposed. By the combination of STC and post-IDFT beamforming, the proposed scheme has better performance than STC- OFDM system in the low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) range and better tradeoff between performance and complexity. The proposed scheme also achieves the same space-diversity gain as the subcarrier beamforming, while keeping lower computational complexity and being easier to implement.
