Abstract :
The data transmission idle time characteristics on point-to-multipoint ARQ (automatic repeat request) systems are presented. The author defines the term transmission idle time in multicast systems, and shows how to minimize the idle time in managing frame retransmission sequences. Criteria for excluding poorly linked listeners are derived
