A regional data communications network for British Gas, Scotland

In early 1991 British Gas plc, Scotland, identified a requirement for a high speed resilient inter-office data communications network throughout the region. The network would provide services for Regional Headquarters in Edinburgh, seven large office sites throughout Scotland, with potential additional connections to depots ad showrooms. The project started in June 1991 with a feasibility study, followed by outline design approval of a business case, procurement and implementation.
