Abstract
A folded monopole antenna on a high dielectric ceramic material usually used to operate at GPS frequencies was proposed to operate as a dual-band GPS/BT antenna. A procedure to design dual-band antennas with a minimal number of matching circuit elements using the monopole length and two short traces on the board was presented. The variation of coupling of a system of a dual-band GPS/BT antenna and a multi-band cellular antenna as a function of ceramic chip position was studied.
