Abstract
Corner diffracted currents on a plane angular sector have been successfully modeled by using numerical diffraction coefficients. The diffraction coefficients were tested for several scattering configurations including finite plates. Representative examples were presented. The discrepancies between our final results and the MM solutions are caused by the higher order scattering mechanisms such as corner to edge or corner to corner interactions. As demonstrated, the corner diffracted waves are strongly guided around the edges and second order corner diffractions may be significant for certain scattering directions.
