Abstract :
The Belgian Power System is interconnected with the UCPTE through six 380 kV lines directly with France and the Netherlands, the sum of the thermal capacities being over 8000 MVA. The author describes physical and contractual exchanges between Belgium and UCPTE countries including exchanges of emergency power. Power system operation in the normal state and operation during emergencies and restoration are described. Control centre organisation is also discussed
