Abstract :
Delay/Fault Tolerant Mobile Sensor Network (DFT-MSN) and Mobile Peer to Peer network (MP2PN) have evolved at a rapid rate in the last couple of years. As the networks are evolving so is the rate at which the bundles are exchanged in between the nodes of the Delay Tolerant network. In this paper we not only discuss the current development and architecture of the Delay/Fault - Tolerant Mobile Sensor Network (DFT-MSN) but also the way in which how the queries are exchanged between the nodes of the networks and the vulnerabilities of the queries to the different types of attacks. We then propose to enhance the security model of the Delay tolerant network by incorporating the concept of the lightweight Cryptography at the source node and destination nodes to achieve the task of secure transmission of query messages during bundle transfer and depict the simulation of the same using the Java Cryptography Architecture, in the front end query processing at the node and Oracle in the back end processing at the node.
