Abstract :
This paper presents the design method of a multi-mode conical corrugated horn which aims to utilize the unwanted mode (EH/sub 12/ mode) but not to restrain it, which can be used for the design of a wideband (or multi-band) corrugated horn. The designed horn has good radiation characteristics, where the maximum cross-polarization is below -30 dB over the band range from 3.4 GHz to 6.65 GHz.
